FEATURES AND ADVANTAGES OF ROOT TANK

TRANSPORT

All tank components and panels are pack and transported on pallet. The dimension and weight of the tank and its accessories are so minimal and low weight than even for larger installation can be transported and mobilize to long distances easily and at low cost.

ECONOMICAL

Because of the tank good quality and long service life, it required less maintenance and tank repair thus making ROOT TANK a good choice for water and dry storage solution and utility investment.

EFFICIENCY

ROOT TANK is a bolted and panel type storage solution that can be install fast and quickly by Srimek professional installer team. Every installation site is supervised by Srimek’s supervisor to guarantee that the installation is in accordance with the ROOT TANK Installation Manual and to have a trouble free implementation of tank assembly work.

FLEXIBLE

Tank capacity and volume can be increase by adding new tank rings to the existing bolted tank. This allow customers to utilize existing tanks for any tank volume expansion. New tank rings, accessories and pipes can be added to the existing tank even after years from the initial tank installation and assembly. ROOT TANK can be dismantle from the original location and reassemble to the new location if tank relocation is required and necessary.

MAINTENANCE

ROOT TANK panel or wall coating is a highly corrosion resistant coating for any storage application and even on harsh environment conditions. For this reason, less and minimal maintenance is required thus reducing the tank inspection work.

Srimek can offer a professional services contract for tank inspection if customer required.

WHAT IS A GLASS FUSED TO STEEL BOLTED TANK TECHNOLOGY

Glass Fused to Steel (GFS) bolted panel tanks combine the strength and design flexibility of steel, with exceptional corrosion resistance and hygiene benefits of glass. GFS is an inert Vitreous Glass Enamel coating, applied to 100% of the surface area of each steel panel and fired at 800-850°C to create a mechanical and chemical fusion bond between the glass coating and the steel substrate.

The finished coating has a strong resistance to algae and bacterial growth, and is excellent for potable water storage, as well as storage of a wide variety of more corrosive water and wastewater media. The GFS coating exhibits a hard, tough surface which is impervious to liquids and vapors, and is highly UV resistant.

Quality Control and Assurance

Every panels and finished components are inspected and checked as per the standard inspection and test procedure to ensure good quality of the product to be deliver to the customer. The quality inspection test conducted are the following: • Holiday Test to check the coating continuity or any voids by introducing 1,100-1,500 V voltage according to ASTM D5162 • Dry Film Thickness Measurement (DFT) using a calibrated DFT gauge meter to check the

coating micron of every panel before leaving the factory or shipment
